Children's Education

Harrold Zion Childrens Education

Sunday School classes for children are held September through May of each year. Classes begin at 9:15 AM and conclude at 10:15 AM each Sunday.

Classes for our 2 year olds are held in the nursery. At least one parent is asked to attend with their child as they begin learning Bible stories and learn the love of God.

Pre-school through Grade 2 classes meet in their respective classrooms for an exciting Sunday School experience. The children learn a Bible story or about a Biblical character and then experience opportunities for art, Bible Skills and games and other activities.

Children grades 3-6 meet in their classrooms in the Fellowship Hall. Here they gather for Bible stories, games, and other related activities.

Children's Church is held during the Saturday evening service and during the 10:30 Sunday service September through May. The children are invited to go to Children's Church following the Children's Message and return to their parents during the offering.

Children participate in worship serving as lectors, acolytes, ushers, instrumentalists and various other ways to share their talents to the Glory of God.

First Communion Class is  held in November and again in March each year. At least one parent attends with their child as they work together to read Bible stories about Communion, learn the importance of the gift of God's forgiveness, and embrace the love of God as he comes to them in this sacrament. Those who attend the November class will receive their First Holy Communion the First Sunday in Advent. Those who attend the March class will receive their First Holy Communion on Holy Thursday.
