Music of the Church

“speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord,”   (Ephesians 5:19)

Harrold Zion provides several opportunities to praise God and lead worship through the music of the church.

Adult Choir

We are blessed by the leadership of this choir which sings at the 10:30 AM Sunday service from the second Sunday of September through the Festival of the Holy Trinity. In addition, the choir sings at the evening services on Ash Wednesday, Holy Thursday, and Thanksgiving Eve, as well as the two candlelight Christmas Eve services and the first and third services on Easter.  Rehearsals are held on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM from September through May.

Bell Choir

The bell choir will ring one Sunday a month at the 10:30 AM Sunday service.  The choir will also ring at the middle service on Easter morning.  Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 6:15 AM.

There is also a Children’s Bell Choir which rehearses from 7:00 to 7:30 PM the Wednesdays during the midweek Lenten series.  They will ring the Sunday after Easter.

Joyful Noise Vocals and Instrumentalists

This ensemble will lead the worship at the Joyful Noise service which is held the third Sunday of each month at the 10:30 AM service.  This ensemble, comprised of flute, guitars, keyboard, and vocals, rehearses one evening during the week prior to the service.  Other instruments are welcome as a part of this ensemble.

Instrumentalists and soloists

Occasionally, instrumentalist and soloists from the church and community participate in our worship services.
